Position Summary and Objective
The Staff Accountant junior-level role, a unique and integral part of our finance service delivery model, offers an exceptional personal and professional growth platform. With its diverse accounting activities, this role primarily focuses on managing the firm's daily financial and accounting tasks, including purchase order management and preparing accrual reports. It plays a pivotal role in our accounting service delivery model, ensuring the smooth operation of month-end financial workstreams, including revenue tracking, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Prepares and maintains financial accounting reporting to support month-end compiling of financial statements.
  • Perform accounts receivable and accounts payable workstreams to ensure optimal cash flow management.
  • Prepare various month-end accruals to ensure revenue recognition practices match expenses for the period.
  • Monitor and track recurring monthly revenue and maintain profitability analysis by project.
  • Manage purchase orders and set up vendors and clients in the firm’s account software.
  • Ensure timely payment of invoices and update financial records for proper documentation.
  • Recommend ways to reduce costs, enhance revenue, and streamline processes for efficiency.
  • Prepare documentation for external auditors or financial institutions.
  • Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance.
  • Perform relevant administrative tasks and paperwork.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education
  • 1-2 years of accounting or finance experience performing staff accountant activities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems. Experience with QuickBooks or NetSuite is preferred.
  • Exhibits drive and can develop quickly, advancing along a planned learning arc.

Position Type and Schedule
  • Regular Full-Time (RFT).
  • Exempt professional.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
